What I’ve heard: It is too similar to the current X1. It strays from the current BMW styling. I like the looks for the most part. What do you think?

Looks like a pig from Angry Birds.

It’s even uglier (somehow) more expensive CX-3 competitor? I mean.. who is this even for?

Also first gen X1s are kind of nice, and still RWD.

I want everything silver, or surrounded by silver, on that car to die in a fire.

Bleg, it’s got that Grand Cherokee narrow headlight thing going on.

I honestly have no idea who this would be sold for.

Looks like they just pulled the same ones off that m1 concept or whatever

I did think that when I saw the back end. I agree with you there.

I have no idea why this is a thing, but it exists now, so yeah.

It looks like a fucking pig, and probably drives that way. If this is what is paying for the M2, however...

It’s so goddamn ugly. This makes Bangle’s creations look like rolling museum art.

The rear end looks like a sagging anus, and the front looks like it was crashed and repaired by Jimmy at the local Jiffy Lube.

I think it looks better than most modern BMWs... However, can we all just get real here and get the automakers to accept/admit that these are nothing more than overstyled station wagons or hatchbacks with a very mild lift (think AMC)?

I wish we could. They probably wouldn’t give a crap.

I mean, look at this thing. The hatch is practically vestigial. It’s tiny and the floor is really high. But it’s basically a hatchback due to the angled rear window. Most SUV-ish things have more vertical windows, making them basically station wagons.

I hate that look, and I don’t think I’ll get used to it. Jeeps have round headlights, don’t they?

It needs a bigger rear bumper, for sure. Also, what is the fascination with those goofy pocket gopher cheek things on the front bumper that all the designers love so much these days? Do they have some sort of aerodynamic purpose? Do they really look cool and I only hate them because get off my lawn?

Kinja'd!!!1

LOL! I believe those side pockets are usually there to either: be aerodynamic, be a unique way to design the fog light area, or be a more aggressive design feature of a vehicle. Many people have different opinions on that feature, but those are a few of my theories.
